Taking care of your health is important at every age
At Brecken Bunbury, we believe in promoting preventative health. So help achieve this, we offer a range of different health checks for people in their 40s.
Our 40s Health Check will help you create a base level of health that we can come back to and provide you with guidance and support to monitor and maintain your health as you age.
Our 40s health assessment can include:
- Weight and height check. These provide the broad guidelines for what healthy looks like at your age. We can also perform a BMI calculation to screen for weight categories that may present more health concerns.
- Blood pressure check. It’s known that the chance of high blood pressure increases as you get older. So we can perform regular blood pressure checks to help you stay across yours.
- Review of medication. Just because you’ve been taking a certain medication in the past, doesn’t mean it’s going to remain right for you. We can review your medication at regular intervals and ensure you’re getting the right medication for your condition.
- Diabetes risk scale. Lifestyle factors can lead to diabetes, particularly as you get older. We can provide a diabetes risk assessment for people that feel they may be at risk.
- Skin check. If you’re worried about a mole, or just conscious that we live in one of the sunniest cities in the world, we can undertake a skin check to help check for anything suspicious on your body.
- Mental health check. If you’re worried that you’re feeling symptoms of a mental health condition, speak to your GP about it. They can perform an initial assessment and then refer you to a psychologist.
- Immunisation review. Your 40s Health Check will make sure you’re up to date with your latest immunisations.
