Dr Janelle Jurgenson

About

Dr Janelle Jurgenson completed her Medical Degree at UWA in 2014 (MBBS hons). Since then she has worked in the Tertiary hospitals in Perth and completed additional training in Emergency Medicine obtaining an Emergency Certificate and Emergency Diploma.

Dr Jurgenson then focused on Women’s health and achieved a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology while starting her training as a General Practitioner.  

Dr Janelle Jurgenson grew up in Bunbury and came back to her home town as a GP with her young family. 

She has completed her General Practice training through the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and continues to work casually in the Bunbury Emergency Department.

Dr Janelle Jurgenson’s interests include antenatal and postnatal care, neonatal care, paediatrics, women’s health including management of menopause and perimenopause, emergency medicine and chronic disease management. Dr Jurgenson performs contraceptive procedures including insertion and removal of an IUD (intrauterine device) and insertion and removal of an implanon. 

As a mother of two young children, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
