Dr Parvez Obaidy

About

Dr Parvez Obaidy graduated from Chittagong medical university , Bangladesh in 2003, following which he briefly practiced locally in family medicine, immigration and corporate health. He then moved to the UK and attained an academic masters degree in gastroenterology from QMUL University of London with merit class in 2007.

His UK career started as a senior house officer in the NHS in regional hospitals starting from Northern Ireland and finishing in Kent in 2009 when he relocated to Perth, Australia.

He served at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for the next 13 years as a service medical registrar in almost all medical specialties of which –

Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Aged care, General Medicine, Sleep medicine, Cardiology, obstetric medicine, medical oncology, haematology, infectious diseases, respiratory medicine, respiratory physiology (fluent in specialised respiratory tests, sleep studies interpretation), renal medicine, rehabilitation medicine, neurology and palliative care are the areas he has extensive experience in.

He was progressing in his physician training with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians whilst his aspirations in lifestyle and career goals changed and he decided to do General Practice where he can apply his vast hospital experience in managing chronic health conditions in the community setting and at the same time give more time to his loving wife and kids.

He speaks  English and Bengali is his first language. He is also proficient in listening Hindi and Urdu.
