Leeann Hudson

About

Leeann Hudson is a registered psychologist who began her journey with a focus on child psychology. After completing a Bachelor of Science (Psychology Major) at the University of Southern Queensland in 2008, she pursued postgraduate training through Charles Sturt University. Her passion surrounding Autism led her to Western Australia, where she further honed her skills at the University of Western Australia.

Throughout her career, Leeann has worked in various settings including schools, community disability services, nursing homes, palliative care facilities and hospitals.  This diverse experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges individuals face at different stages of life.

In recent years, Leeann has developed a particular interest in working with older adults. She enjoys assisting clients who may be struggling with:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Grief and Loss
  • Trauma
  • Loneliness
  • The diagnosis of an illness or palliative condition
  • Transitioning into aged care
  • Adjusting to life changing circumstances.

Leeann Hudson utilizes evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These modalities enable her to provide effective and compassionate care to her clients.

Leeann’s calm, warm, and non-judgmental demeanour fosters a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. She values building strong relationships with her clients, based on respect and collaboration. Her goal is to empower individuals to achieve positive outcomes and improve their overall quality of life.
