Lee graduated with first-class honours from Notre Dame University in 2018. Early in his career, Lee worked in private practice while pursuing a PhD focused on mechanisms of chronic low back pain, at Notre Dame. During this time, he taught pain science to students and shared his knowledge on various health-related podcasts. Doing so, Lee developed skills in evaluating research and how it may change patient care. He then shifted to public health, working in a busy outpatient musculoskeletal clinic, geriatric rehabilitation ward and acute inpatient care at a tertiary hospital in Perth. He also trained physio students on their musculoskeletal placement in an educator role and provided formal training for healthcare staff, enhancing the care provided within the hospital system.
Lee is committed to helping older adults build strength and confidence, especially after a fall or illness, through targeted physiotherapy interventions. His approach includes exercise rehabiliation, falls mitigation strategies, and group strength and balance classes to help people regain their independence. With his background in pain, Lee is skilled at helping individuals manage and understand their pain, empowering them to live more fully.
